Common issues

How do I load paper without jams?

Fan the stack before loading to separate sheets, then square it up. Don't overfill — keep paper below the tray's max-fill line. Adjust the tray guides snugly to the paper width and length so sheets feed straight. Make sure the paper-size setting on the panel matches what's in the tray. Store paper flat and away from humidity to prevent curl. Still jamming? Request service.

How do I replace the toner?

Open the front cover and locate the toner cartridge for the color indicated on the display. Slide or rotate the old cartridge out as shown on the inside-cover diagram. Shake the new cartridge gently side to side to distribute toner, remove the seal/tab, and slide it in until it clicks. Close the cover — the device will register the new cartridge automatically. Order replacements anytime via Order Supplies (Managed Print customers get toner automatically).

Scan-to-email or printing suddenly stopped — what changed?

This is almost always a network change — the device's IP address moved, or a firewall/mail setting changed. First, print a configuration/network status page from the device panel and confirm it still has a valid IP on your network. If the IP changed, your print queues and scan destinations may be pointing at the old address. For scan-to-email, mail server (SMTP) settings or app passwords sometimes need updating after an email migration. If you're not sure, don't guess — open a service request and we'll fix it remotely or on-site.

The display shows an error code I don't recognize.

Note the exact code and any message, then power the device off, wait 30 seconds, and power it back on — many transient errors clear on restart. If it returns, the code points to a specific part or sensor and is best handled by a technician. Send us the code and your model and we'll come prepared.
